Homerton College, one of THIS Institute’s partners, is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2018. Homerton, the newest and largest college of the University of Cambridge, is using the anniversary to reflect on its past, examine the issues of today, and think about the part Homerton, its Fellows, students, friends, and supporters, can play in the future.
Burning Questions, a programme of interactive public events, will ask key questions about today’s world. What is the future of healthcare? What does it mean to be human? And, how do we drive change?
A team from THIS Institute will tackle the first of these questions ‘What is the future of healthcare?’ in Action Stations - a public event at Homerton College on Saturday, 10 February.
THIS Institute researcher and Homerton College Research Associate, Dr Alexandros Georgiadis says:
“Improving healthcare is a priority, not just for the NHS, but for health systems worldwide."
"We want to give people a chance to think about real-world healthcare problems, and ask them how we might solve them.”
THIS Institute healthcare researchers will be available on the day to help people understand how healthcare research really happens and to explore the cutting edge of healthcare improvement. “Everyone is welcome to come along. It will be a fun, interactive opportunity to find out more about current and future developments in healthcare”, says Homerton Associate, Alex.
