Professor Mary Dixon-Woods, Director of THIS Institute and RAND Professor of Health Services Research has been awarded the prestigious NIHR Senior Investigators Award.
Professor Dixon-Woods is one of 43 newly appointed researchers to have been recognised in this year’s awards.
Senior Investigators are among the most prominent and prestigious researchers funded by the NIHR and the most outstanding leaders of patient and people-based research within the NIHR Faculty.
Appointments are made annually, informed by the advice of an international panel of experts. Members provide visible leadership within the NIHR, promoting clinical and applied research in health and social care, and act as a key source of advice to the Department of Health's Chief Scientific Adviser.
