Join us at this year’s Science Festival in Cambridge, a fantastic city-wide event, and take part in our interactive exhibit exploring ‘does the patient hold the key?’
We will be inviting audiences to answer some key questions around the delivery of healthcare; test their skills in detecting a stroke; and ask their opinion of a telephone first appointment service for GP appointments.
Our drop-in events will give you a flavour of our research, building an evidence-base for studying improvement in the NHS in which everyone has a part. We will be piloting our citizen science projects, which will officially launch later this year, and you will be able to test out some of the questions.
Professor Mary Dixon-Woods, Director of The Healthcare Improvement Studies Institute, joins a panel to debate where genomic medicine will take us and what does it mean for the patient?
A stellar line up of speakers including Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health and Social Care, invite you to ask questions about this promised revolution in personalised medicine.
